BUBANJ HILL CAMP OF THE YOUNG

 Within the preparation of the celebration of Saint Day Emperor Constantine and Helen Day, Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with the Office for young of this Municipality and civil sector, organized sport weekend on Bubanj Hill with the title Camp of the young. Boban Dzunic, president of the Municipality of Palilula and PhD Zoran Perisic Mayor of Nis with their associates, visited the participants and organizers of this activity. In spite of the bad weather conditions at the terrains more than 1000 young people gathered.

EVENTS MARKING THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA CITY CELEBRATION

 Marking the city of Nis celebration begins on Saturday, May 31, with the youth camp in Memorial Park "Bubanj" and ends with the international parade of ecological and archaeological film "Ecopolis fest".Palilula evening will most likely be deposited in September this year, due to the recent floods and the overall situation in the country, said the president of municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić. However, as announced, the municipality of Palilula will have rich artistic and sports programs contribute to the celebration of the city's celebration "Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena." The municipality of Palilula, together with civil society organizations traditionally joins the celebration of the City fame, on June 3rd.

Palilula Municipality is known for the activities in the filed of life protection and for the large number of realized projects that are in ecology and life surrounding preserving. The reason for the engagement in the green filed is the fact that through the territory of this municipality Juzna Morava river is running through and in the edging municipal part Batusinacke bare are situated.

During this meeting it was discussed about successful cooperation of Palilula Municipality with municipalities in Bulgaria, but also about the catastrophic results of the flooding that has happened in the western regions of Serbia, their degree of vulnerability and necessary help which is needed.Bulgarian Government and people of Bulgaria from the beginning of catastrophic floods in Serbia were included in collecting and supplying humanitarian help, emphasized Ambassador Dimitrov. Solidarity between our nations once more is shown in practical way.

 Humanitarian campaign of Palilula Municipality, City of Nis `Help our Children`, continues daily and donor grants from the account of this Municipality are coming as a kind of help in treatment of heavily ill children from Palilula. Five year old Skender Tair was a guest of this Municipality with his parents and according to president Boban Dzunic words, the money will be payed down for the continuance of his treatment in Clinical Center, Belgrade.
Palilula Municipality, as one of the poorest municipalities in Serbia with over 80 000 people, started 10 months ago humanitarian action `Help our Children` for collecting of money for the help to the families with very ill children.

OBRENOVAC THE HAUNTED CITY

 Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality, City of Nis, with his team from Nis participated in saving people in Obrenovac. `Only because for few residential buildings that were striking out of water we could conclude that there was a city once` says Dzunic who together with his team from Nis helped the people from Obrenovac in the time of the strongest wave. The most disturbing and painful were the pictures of saving little children who in the arms of their savors were heading to safety.

PALILULA MUNICIPALITY TEAM IN HUMANITARIAN ACTION IN OBRENOVAC

 Rescue teams of volunteers, organized by Palilula Municipality , spent a night of the last weekend in Obrenovac -May 17 in humanitarian mission of rescuing the people from this Belgrade municipal territory. With Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality as rescue team leader, this caravan of twenty volunteers headed towards Obrenovac on Friday May 16 2014. Palilula team succeeded to come there at around 2 am among those few who managed the same from the other parts of Serbia. the central position was bridge to entrance to Obrenovac.

PALILULA NIS IS COMING TO AID OBRENOVAC

 Tonight, around 21 hours (16.05.2014.) a group of volunteers, organized by the Municipality of Palilula in Nis, led by president of municipality Boban Džunić, started to help disadvantaged citizens of the municipality of Obrenovac. The invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic and Palilula municipality was responded by the members of the diving club "Gusar" river scouts training ship "Jadran", members of the leadership and management of the municipality. According to Boban Džunić municipality of Palilula will form checkpoints during this weekend for the collection of food and equipment which citizens offer to vulnerable populations.

GABROVAC LANDSLIDE ENDANGERS HOUSHOLDS

 President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic, after the invitation of the people from Gabrovac village directed over the Office for fast municipal responses, visited the families endangered with newly appeared landslide in this village settlement with over 1000 residents. President Dzunic on this occasion formed Municipal Commission that is in the field with the citizens and registers the present state of the objects. About the consequences of this elementary disaster the Council of the City of Nis will be informed as well as the headwaters for emergency situation and the authorized Republic departments.

PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FOR ALL CITIZENS OF PALILULA

 Organized by the Nis Health Centre, with the support of the City Municipality of Palilula, there was this year's first "Health Bazaar" held in front of the Nis cultural Centre, where people were able to check their health status by measuring blood pressure, blood sugar measurements of body weight and height. It also marked the International Day of physical activity.The first year's Bazaar of Health, which was held in the City Municipality of Palilula, in front of Nis Cultural Center, there was a team of the Health Center that has provided hundreds of free medical services, and thus achieved the objective of this project - the promotion of good primary health care for all citizens.

COMMEMORATION TRIBUTE TO THE VICTIMS OF THE DAY OF EUROPE

 Bulgarian Ambassador to Serbia Angel Dimitrov, with his associates, military attaché and Consul General Consulate in Nis, Atanas Krstin, and president of Palilula Boban Džunić, laid wreaths at the mausoleum to the fallen Bulgarian soldiers in the the Second World War. Wreaths were laid by representatives of the Bulgarian national minority in Serbia and the NGO sector.Memorial ossuary to the Bulgarian armed forces was erected in 1948 in the "Ledena Stena" settlement of Palilula municipality, in order to remember the Bulgarian soldiers which were fallen in combat operations against the German invaders in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
